The power of innovation
For me, innovation is the driving force for progress and development in our dynamic world. It goes far beyond the mere introduction of new ideas, products or services and is a transformative force that revolutionises existing processes and technologies to improve the way we live, work and interact. I believe innovation is critical because it enables companies to compete in the global marketplace, drive economic growth and address societal challenges in areas such as health, energy and education. It is the driving force behind sustainable solutions that aim not only for economic success, but also to improve the quality of life worldwide and create a fairer future.
As someone who is deeply involved in innovation, my expertise is based on a diverse career ranging from leading innovative projects to academic research and working on disruptive technologies. My comprehensive understanding of innovation dynamics, coupled with practical experience in applying innovative solutions to complex challenges, makes me a sought-after speaker. In my talks, I not only share stories of innovation successes and the people behind them, but also discuss the processes that lead to such successes and the obstacles that often stand in the way, such as resistance to change, financial and regulatory hurdles, and how to overcome them.
I place particular emphasis on creativity, critical thinking and lifelong learning as pillars of promoting innovation and emphasise the importance of a culture that sees mistakes as learning opportunities and encourages experimentation. The role of interdisciplinary collaboration and the use of technology as an innovation enabler are further key areas of my work. My talks aim to encourage individuals and organisations to adopt an innovative mindset by offering practical tools and strategies for creating an innovation-friendly environment. With a blend of inspiration, practical guidance and strategic insight, I encourage my audiences to harness the transformative power of innovation to create not only economic, but also social and environmental benefits.
Innovation is the key element that drives development and progress in our fast-moving world.
History and evolution of innovation
The history and development of innovation tells the story of man's boundless creativity and his quest for progress. From the first inventions such as the wheel, which revolutionised our transport system, to the breakthroughs in medicine that extended our life expectancy, every major innovation has had a profound impact on society and the economy. These innovations were not only turning points in human history, but also spurred further research and development, leading to even more advanced technologies and better living conditions. In the industrial age, inventions such as the steam engine and later electrification led to radical changes in production, resulting in exponential economic growth and the emergence of modern industrial society.
The digital revolution ushered in a new era of information technology that has fundamentally changed the way we communicate, work and do business. The development of the internet and mobile technologies has led us into a connected world where information and resources are instantly available, triggering new waves of innovation in almost all areas of life. At the same time, the understanding and methodology of innovation processes has changed - from linear to agile models and from closed to open innovation approaches - representing a significant shift in the way innovation is realised. This change underlines the growing awareness that innovation has not only a technological dimension, but also a social, cultural and organisational one.
In my talks, I take the audience on a journey of discovery through the history of innovation, highlighted by significant examples and turning points that have changed our world. I highlight the evolution of innovation processes and models and emphasise the role of interdisciplinary collaboration, adaptive structures and a culture of openness and continuous learning as key elements for fostering innovation. With this historical and process-oriented approach, I show how the past forms the basis for future innovation and how a deep understanding of innovation principles can empower organisations and individuals to master tomorrow's challenges and bring about positive change.

» Challenges and barriers to innovation
Innovation often faces numerous challenges and barriers, which can range from deep-rooted risk aversion in corporate cultures to strict regulatory restrictions and an acute lack of resources. These barriers can significantly hinder the development and implementation of new ideas by limiting creativity and dampening the willingness to explore new approaches. To overcome these barriers, it is crucial to foster an organisational culture that values experimentation and learning from mistakes. This includes creating safe spaces where employees are encouraged to present and test innovative ideas without fear of negative consequences. In addition, flexible regulatory frameworks and access to funding and investment can support innovation projects. Encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors can also help to minimise both financial and bureaucratic hurdles. By adopting these strategies, companies can create a continuous climate of innovation that not only enables existing challenges to be overcome, but also lays a foundation for continued growth and success in an ever-changing world.
The psychology of innovation
The psychology of innovation lies in the interaction between individual creativity and the cultural conditions that foster or hinder it. I have come to realise that innovation is more than the result of logical thinking; it is deeply rooted in our creativity, curiosity and desire for self-realisation. Mental barriers such as fear of failure, entrenched mindsets and an error-intolerant culture can severely limit innovation. On the positive side, an open mindset, a willingness to take risks and a culture that encourages curiosity and experimental learning can significantly increase the ability to innovate.
As someone who specialises in innovation, I emphasise the need to develop a mindset and culture that encourages innovation. I suggest that organisations create an environment where ideas can be freely exchanged without fear of criticism or rejection. This includes encouraging diversity and interdisciplinary collaboration to bring together different perspectives and experiences that favour innovative solutions. It is equally important to establish an iterative innovation process that leaves room for experimentation, failure and continuous learning.
I also consider the development of managers who act as innovation promoters to be crucial. They should communicate visions, provide resources and create an innovation-friendly climate. These managers are essential to take away employees' fear of failure by presenting failures as learning opportunities. I also emphasise the importance of self-efficacy - the belief in one's own ability to successfully overcome challenges - as a key driver of innovation.
By combining these psychological and cultural aspects, an atmosphere can be created that promotes innovation at all levels of an organisation. My goal as Speaker is to inspire and empower people and organisations to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of their ability to innovate and to establish a deeply rooted, sustainable culture of innovation.

Innovation management and strategies
For me, innovation management and strategies are at the heart of successful companies that want to remain competitive in our rapidly changing business world. I have found that proven methods such as Design Thinking and Lean Startup are particularly effective in systematically promoting and implementing innovation. Design Thinking focuses on a user-centred approach, where understanding and empathy for users, idea generation and iterative testing take centre stage. This method makes it possible to gain deep insights into customer needs and create solutions that offer real added value. Lean Startup, on the other hand, focuses on rapid learning through the development of minimal, functional products to test hypotheses and gather feedback, which speeds up the development cycle and reduces the risk of failure.
Examples of successful companies such as Apple, which continuously produces innovative products such as the iPhone by focussing on design and user experience and applying design thinking, or Google, which uses lean startup principles to quickly develop and test new solutions, show the effectiveness of these strategies. As someone who works extensively in the field of innovation, I emphasise the importance of structured innovation management and the application of effective strategies to ensure sustainable growth. I believe that tailoring these frameworks to a company's individual needs and involving the entire organisation in the innovation process are crucial to creating a dynamic innovation culture.
Using case studies of successful companies, I would like to provide valuable insights into the practice of innovation management and inspire my audience to adopt and implement the methods and strategies presented. My aim is to strengthen the innovative capacity of people and organisations and to lead them on the path to new successes.

» The future of innovation
The future of innovation looks promising, with emerging trends that have the potential to fundamentally change our world. From the advancing Digitisation and the advent of the artificial intelligence to breakthroughs in biotechnology and sustainable energy - innovations are reshaping the way we live, work and interact. In this rapidly evolving environment, the Keynote Speaker the role of individuals and organisations as the driving forces behind significant change. It encourages us to see innovation not only as a tool for economic growth, but also as a means to address societal challenges and have a positive impact on our environment and society. By adopting an innovation-friendly attitude that promotes openness to new ideas, interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous learning, together we can shape a future based on the principles of sustainability, inclusion and the well-being of all.
Technological drivers of innovation
The technology landscape is constantly evolving, with groundbreaking technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) acting as catalysts for cross-industry innovation. AI is revolutionising fields from healthcare to retail with its data analysis and pattern recognition capabilities, for example, by aiding in early disease detection or creating personalised customer experiences. Blockchain brings trust and security to digital transactions through its decentralised and transparent nature, which is particularly important in the financial sector and supply chain logistics. IoT enables the connection of physical devices to the internet, leading to more efficient and intelligent systems in manufacturing, energy management, and urban planning.
As an innovation expert, I will illuminate the transformative power of these technologies and their impact on current and future business models. I stress that it is crucial not to view these technological developments in isolation, but as integrated components of a comprehensive digital transformation strategy. The combination of AI, blockchain and IoT offers businesses the opportunity to improve internal processes while simultaneously developing new products and services based on changing customer needs.
By discussing the impact of these technologies on various sectors, I show that successful application and integration of these innovations requires adaptation of corporate culture, organisational structures, and business strategies. Companies that are open to adopting and integrating these technologies can not only gain a competitive advantage but also lay the foundation for sustainable growth and long-term success. I motivate my audience to seize the opportunities presented by these technological advancements and explain how forward-thinking and a willingness to innovate are crucial for success in the digital age.
